COLOUR CODE: PINK

In 2015 during the second edition of the local art fair Art Safari, we were invited to propose a project for the inauguration day. We decided that we will count the women artists present in the fair, represented by galleries and in the permanent collections of the art museums present at the fair. On a 25 meters long paper we wrote the names of every woman artist presented in the show, in each stand, marking the men’s names with dashes. Out of 41 galleries, 18 had no women artists exhibited, just 2 had only women and 5 out of 8 museums had only men artists. The final outcome was 291 men and 91 women (out of which 12 were exhibited by us).
